First off, it’s not about the tools. Reaching your goals is important, the tactics you use are less important. With that being said, these are some of the things that I use to help me reach my goals. The hope is that by sharing these you might find value from them as well.

Audible by Amazon  

Training your body requires a growth mindset. If you are like me, this growth mindset extends past just the body to your relationships, mind, skills, etc. One of the best ways to feed the need to learn and grow is through books. Some books I’d recomend are: Atomic Habits by James Clear and Indistractable by Nir Eyal.

Resistance Bands

These are the bands that I use. I like how they have handles and are easily adjustable. They are great for quick 10 minute trigger sessions. The downside is they aren’t loops so it’s harder to incorporate them into barbell work.


Tracking your intake is important. What’s worse than not tracking your intake? Tracking what you eat and having it be incorrect. The fat secret app isn’t perfect but it is better than other apps and paired with a food scale can be a pretty good option. This only works if you’re consistent. iOS|Google Play

Food Scale

Having a food scale is necessary for accurately measuring your food intake. This is the scale that I use but really any scale will get the job done.

While measuring your body composition, you need to use reliable tools. These fat calipers and Measuring tape will help you be accurate and consistent. They are accurate and cost effective.
